February IIBA Ottawa-Outaouais Business Analysis Book Club
Description
Ever wondered why some people just don’t get you—or why you struggle to connect with certain colleagues, clients, or stakeholders? Surrounded by Idiots by Thomas Erikson breaks down human behavior into four distinct personality types—Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue—helping you understand how people think, communicate, and make decisions.
This book provides a simple yet powerful framework to improve your interpersonal skills, enhance workplace interactions, and even boost your ability to influence others. Whether you’re leading a project, facilitating discussions, or navigating tricky team dynamics, understanding personality types can help you work smarter and communicate more effectively.
Join us for an engaging conversation where we’ll explore key takeaways from the book, share our own experiences, and discuss how these insights apply to business analysis and beyond. Whether you’ve read the entire book or just a few chapters, all are welcome to join and participate!
