Initiated by the IIBA Ottawa-Outaouais Chapter, the Chapter Ambassador programme is a phenomenal opportunity for enthusiastic members of the Ottawa-Outaouais community to work with our local chapter. The position offers budding ambassadors the chance to get involved with the functioning of the chapter, support the promotion of the chapter’s work and calendar of events as well as contribute to building our professional community.

LEARN

  • The Chapter Ambassador is supported by the Chapter Board of Directors throughout the execution of responsibilities, offering an opportunity to gain from great experience and informal mentorship.
  • The Ambassador has first-hand opportunities to influence chapter strategy and program offering.
  • The Ambassador has access to a kit of information to help them fulfill their key responsibilities.
  • Ambassadors earn volunteer hours to be claimed for recertification.

NETWORK

  • Opportunity to interact with members of the community at chapter events.
  • Recognition of Chapter Ambassador’s efforts and achievements on the chapter’s social platforms, monthly meetings, and website.
  • Free admission to the chapter’s monthly meeting when you bring a new guest who hasn’t attended before.

FUNCTIONS

Chapter Ambassadors will have the opportunity to support the following functions:

  • Promote IIBA, the chapter and calendar of events among their professional network
  • Invite other BAs to come to benefit from the chapter’s events
  • Offer their employers an opportunity to become a corporate member, host an event, or pay for their employees to attend some of the chapter’s events, such as Capital BA Day
  • Invite a chapter representative to speak about IIBA and certification at their workplace. Plan an in-house event at your workplace, which can be co-hosted by the chapter
  • Promote vital BA info and materials from our site and the IIBA.org site
