Claire Brewster is an experienced marketing and communications professional, specialized in non-profit marketing. Typically working as a Functional Manager with responsibilities over public engagement and revenue growth, Claire has over 10 years’ experience piloting businesstransformation projects that build revenue, reduce cost and increase organizational effectiveness - while also supporting the delivery of core public-benefit and social-change missions. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Strategic Management and Marketing from McGill University.

As a marketer, Claire has worked extensively on public awareness, advocacy, and fundraising programs for public health, environmental conservation, higher education, and international aid. She has also worked on private-sector campaigns for consumer brands and business-to-business services.

As a strategic analyst, Claire specializes in rivalry and change – understanding evolving market conditions, evaluating an organization’s unique blend of competencies and constraints with respect to its competitiveness, and designing marketing strategies to support growth. As a process and technical analyst, her expertise is directly linked to the IT infrastructure that underpins the data- and relationship-management required for successful direct-marketing programs in the philanthropic sector.

Her previous volunteer experience includes Board roles with Nature Québec and Arts NDG, coaching roles with the Canadian Film Institute,the Montreal CEDEC and Concordia’s IMCD, and trainer for the Association des professionels en gestion philanthropique. She is a certified Scrum Master and is fluently bilingual.
