In our drive to deliver on daily challenges, striving for excellence in how we execute on projects and solution development, BAs commonly focus on mastering the skills, tools and methods they need for the challenge directly in front of them. It can be hard to find the time and space to look past the immediate and get exposure to new and creative approaches being developed, or from other disciplines. So let’s take some time out to look at some approaches from design thinking about elicitation, from business rules on stakeholder classification, and from Europe on a new way of thinking about solution development.

Key Objectives:

  • 6 techniques for gaining insights about users/customers and 8 rules for interviews
  • a classification structure for thinking about your stakeholders
  • feature injection and real options
