BA Trailblazer | BA Beginnings: Working in a Virtual World

The BA Beginnings Trailblazer is an opportunity for new business analysts to connect and to discuss tools, techniques, and topics that will help guide their new careers in business analysis. 

The ultimate objective of this BA Trailblazer series is to create a comfortable space in which new business analysts can help each other as they explore this new career path, all the while building professional relationships and BA skills. There will be an interactive and collective approach to the sessions where feedback and ideas will be used to determine the direction of the Trailblazer’s discussions as the series progresses.

The fifth session in the series explores working in a virtual world. In 2020, we have all had to adapt to working in a virtual world. This webinar will focus on techniques and tools to help new Business Analysts adapt to working and collaborating virtually. We will be looking at techniques and tools for working collaboratively in an online environment. And offering some tips and tricks that BAs can put into practice.

During the session, we'll draw from examples from participants and discuss the experiences BAs have had working virtually over the past few months.

About the Trailblazer Initiatives

The IIBA Ottawa-Outaouais Chapter runs a number of trailblazer initiatives on a variety of topics. The objective is to bring people together to discuss specific topics of interest and learn from each other in a casual format. The participants are asked to research specific topics and share what they've learned with the group during a meetup. Find out more >>

Who should attend: The primary audience is entry-level BAs and those folks who have switched to business analysis mid-career. Nonetheless, senior BAs are also welcome to attend to give their perspective and relay their experience in a mentoring role.
