BA Trailblazer | BDA: Anomaly detection using Machine Learning
The BDA Trailblazer is an opportunity for business analysts to connect and to discuss tools, techniques, and topics that will help guide their careers in business data analytics.
The ultimate objective of this BDA Trailblazer series is to create a comfortable space in which business analysts can help each other as they explore this new career path, all that while building professional relationships and BDA skills. There will be an interactive and collective approach to the sessions where feedback and ideas will be used to determine the direction of the Trailblazer’s discussions as the series progresses.
In this session of BDA Trailblazer series, we will be discussing a specialised topic of machine learning and data analytics called anomaly or outlier detection.
What we'll cover:
- Introduction to anomaly detection.
- How machine learning is used to detect anomalies.
- Techniques used for anomaly detection.
- Practical applications and implications.
About the Facilitator
Abhishek Kumar is an engineer working in a Canadian high-tech company, who is passionate about ML, AI and robotics. He has a master’s from University of Waterloo with specialization in using ML for computer vision and about 7 years experience in the field of hand-writing recognition systems using statistical modeling.
