Canceled: Skills Workshop | Co-creative Leadership

Saturday, June 2, 2018 - 8:15am

A Message from IIBA Ottawa-Outaouais Chapter:

We regret to announce that due to a low registration rate to the June 2nd workshop, the IIBA Ottawa-Outaouais Chapter must cancel the upcoming June 2nd workshop on Co-creative Leadership.  We believe the low numbers are due to the fact that this particular workshop was scheduled too close to the summer months.   Fortunately, we haven't completely lost the opportunity to receive Steffan and deliver this great workshop on a very crucial soft skill that all Business Analysts and aspiring Business Analysts require.  We are in discussions with Steffan Surdek and are looking to re-schedule the workshop in late September 2018.  So more to come

Information about the future workshop

"Co-creative Leadership", Facilitated by Steffan Surdek

Overview and Purpose:
Co-creative leadership proposes the type of leadership required to create a working environment that results in increased collaboration, better communication, collective ownership and a focus on high quality results.

Co-creative leaders:
  • Identify, awaken and empower the dormant leaders in their organization
  • Are a voice among many when collaborating with their teams
  • Inspire and foster engagement rather than compliance
  • Embody and model the values they believe in both at home and at work
  • Are aware and take ownership of their personal impact on the people around them
  • Encourage teams to learn from their mistakes and through experimentation

The five key skills of a co-creative leader are:

  • Being a voice among many in the conversation
  • Unleashing the leaders around them
  • Dancing with the system around them
  • Build capacity on their teams
  • Encourage experimentation and learning by doing

This hands-on workshop will explore the five key skills of a co-creative leader and will allow you to experience them through simple games.

Goals of this workshop:

  • Learn, practice and experiment each of the five key skills of a co-creative leader
  • Expand the perspectives of participants on leadership in the workplace
