ECBA | CCBA | CBAP Study Group: The Techniques
ECBA | CCBA | CBAP Study Group: The Techniques
Data flow diagrams, brainstorming, organization modeling, workshops, root cause analysis. Which are your go-to techniques for business analysis? The BABOK presents the most common techniques practiced within the business analysis community. This list of 50 techniques is a great place to find a technique to suit many a situation… or feel free to modify them as needed.
Purpose of the Study Group
The purpose of monthly study group sessions is to provide an opportunity for business analysts considering or preparing to write the ECBA™, CCBA®, or CBAP® exam to talk with other like-minded individuals to review and discuss content in the BABOK®. Each month we focus on a single chapter of the BABOK®, sharing perspectives on the content and answering questions amongst the group. Time is dedicated to reviewing materials you will need to know for the exam. A quiz is offered at the end of the session to reinforce and assess the material covered.
Overview of the Session
In the previous study group sessions, we covered most of the BABOK content: the key concepts, six knowledge areas, tasks, and underlying competencies. In our May 2021 study group session, we turn or focus on the list of techniques found in chapter ten.
