ECBA™ | CCBA® | CBAP® Study Group - 26 November 2019
ECBA™ | CCBA® | CBAP® Study Group - 26 November 2019
Strolling through a field, picking strawberries on a sunny day—is this what requirements gathering is like? Business analysts collect information through analysis of documents, facilitating workshops and holding conversations with stakeholders. But what if the BA doesn’t ask the questions needed to clarify the true problem to be solved? Or conduct sufficient analysis to identify conflicting requirements? Or cross-check and evaluate requirements to identify gaps?
In the November 2019 session we will focus on the Elicitation and Collaboration knowledge area, the fourth chapter of the BABOK® v3.
The Elicitation and Collaboration knowledge area consists of tasks performed to communicate expectations of stakeholders, conduct elicitation activities, confirm the outcomes of elicitation activities, understand stakeholder needs, provide stakeholders with key information and engage stakeholders throughout the business analysis process.
