ECBA™ / CCBA® / CBAP® Study Group – May 2019 Session
Data flow diagrams, brainstorming, organization modelling, workshops, root cause analysis. Which are your go-to techniques for business analysis? The BABOK v3 presents the most common techniques practiced within the business analysis community. This list of 50 techniques is a great place to find a technique to suit many a situation… or feel free to modify them as needed.
Purpose of the Study Group
The monthly study group sessions provide an opportunity for business analysts considering or preparing to write the ECBA™, CCBA ® or CBAP ® exam to meet with other like-minded individuals to review content in the BABOK ® v3.
Each month, we will focus on a single chapter of the BABOK ® v3, sharing perspectives on the content and answering questions among the group. A “technique spotlight” studies a select group of techniques relevant to the knowledge area. A quiz is offered at the end of each session to reinforce and assess the material covered. The session is facilitated by a CBAP-certified business analyst.
Overview of the Session
In the previous study group sessions, we covered most of the BABOK ® v3 content: the key concepts, six knowledge areas, tasks and underlying competencies. The focus of our May, 2019 study group session is the list of Techniques found in chapter 10.
