September Meeting | Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

Tuesday, September 20, 2022 -
6:00pm to 7:30pm

September Meeting | CRM Requires Collaboration Across the Organization

Few projects impact as many departments across the organization as customer relationship management (CRM) software.

Today CRM is crucial to running a business. CRM directly impacts the customer life cycle across the organization, unlike any other application. The marketing, sales, accounting, and operations departments use CRM for their respective roles. The IT department supports customizations, integrations, and reporting even when CRM is hosted as a service. It would be hard to run a successful business without a CRM.

Collaborating across so many different departments can be challenging. Each department not only has its specific needs and expectations, but they each also have different ways of thinking and communicating. The typical stereotypes go something like this. The marketing department thinks creatively. The sales department relies on building relationships. The accounting and IT departments think more analytically. These stereotypes are not always accurate. Being able to manage individual needs and preferred communication styles is critical to running successful projects and managing the customer life cycle.
