Skills Workshop | Solution Evaluation

Please note change in location!

IIBA® Ottawa-Outaouais, in collaboration with Chapter sponsor Algonquin College Corporate Training, is pleased to host a full-day workshop on "Solution Evaluation" as part of the Chapter’s Skills™ Workshops and Masterclasses – a professional development series designed specifically for BAs by BAs.

Overview & Purpose

As business analysts, we all work to enable change in our stakeholders’ organizations by defining needs and recommending solutions that deliver value to stakeholders. But how much change was actually achieved? And how much value was delivered based on the work we have performed?

This is where the Solution Evaluation Knowledge Area of the BABOK® may help us understand if we really accomplished what we set out to do. We need to perform solution evaluation to assess the performance of and value delivered by a solution in use by the enterprise, and to recommend removal of barriers or constraints that prevent the full realization of that value.

The purpose of this workshop is to give participants an understanding of the tasks and techniques involved and a chance to apply this knowledge through hands on exercises based on a case study. This case study will be based on true events in the Ottawa area.
