MARIE HALSEY, CBAP

Marie Halsey is an IIBA® Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP™) and recognized Business Analysis subject matter expert, bringing added value to her clients for over 25 years. Marie provides business analysis to large-scale enterprise systems projects, often developed remotely over multiple releases.
Frequently called upon in the early stages of new initiatives, Marie excels at building initial rapport with clients, developing a clear understanding their business, and clarifying both overall and specific objectives. From initial concept and scope, Marie is adept at rendering the most complex projects into comprehensible, manageable, and detailed requirements.
As a Business Analysis subject matter expert, Marie enjoys uplifting the business analysis capabilities within her client organizations and has extensive experience in the development of Business Analysis Centres of Excellence.
Through leadership, mentoring and practical application of proven best practices, Marie has also developed expertise in the establishment of Business Analysis Practices / Centres of Excellence.
As an active participant in IIBA® and the BA community, Marie has presented at several BA World conferences across Canada and has an established reputation as key resource for leadership and guidance on BA best practices, tools, processes, professional development and certification.
Role & Objectives:

Marie has been an active IIBA Ottawa-Outaouais Chapter member since 2006, and obtained her CBAP certification in May 2008.

As Membership Coordinator, a non-Board role that reports to the VP Member Services, Marie providies invaluable support to the Chapter by maintaining the Chapter's membership database, handling registration logistics for the Chapter's monthly events, and providing a point of contact for enquiries.
