Were you aware that the awards season kicks off each year in November?  Music, theatre, television, movies, Broadway theatre… all are honoured for their excellence, commitment and professionalism with Grammy, Tony, Emmy, Academy and numerous other awards. 

What about all of the hard-working volunteers who work diligently behind the scenes to put together amazing chapter events, study group sessions, workshops, social events, job fairs, and many other supports that promote excellence in business analysis?  That’s where the IIBA® Chapter and Volunteer Awards come in!

Each year, IIBA honours a select group of IIBA chapters that have made significant contributions in their business analysis communities.  This year, we are happy to announce that our own IIBA® Ottawa-Outaouais chapter has been named one of 23 finalists for the chapter of the year awards—out of 120 chapters across the globe!  In addition to this, two of our many hardworking volunteers, Alec Lumsden and Magda Jaros have been nominated for a Volunteer of the Year Award.  Well done, Alec and Magda!
