The following is a slate of candidates up for election in 2021:



Abieyuwa (Abie) Onaeko, CBAP, is a graduate of accounting with a professional certification in both finance and business analysis and over 8 years work experience in Oil and gas, Energy, banking and most recently as a business analyst in a consulting firm. 

Abieyuwa is excited about opportunities that integrate people, processes, data and technology to support project delivery and implement digital transformation. She enjoys having insightful conversations with people and is passionate about advocating and promoting business analysis in any capacity.


Vice President, Member Services (incumbent)

Alec Lumsden

Alec Lumsden, CBAP, is a Senior Business Analyst with strong business, analytical, social and communication skills. He worked in the User Needs Assessment group in Nortel for many years, and the last 14 years with the Government of Canada as a Business Analyst helping regulatory agencies.

Alec's career has been dedicated to the goal of aligning digital technology with business needs. Graduate studies in Psychology developed his unique skills in understanding and working with people. His certification in both quantitative and qualitative analyses and professional recognition as a focus group moderator attests to his interpersonal and facilitation skills. He has extensive experience working with people from a wide range of businesses and cultures in North and South America, Europe, and Asia.

Alec holds a Master’s degree in Experimental Social Psychology with a minor in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Waterloo (1981). He has been a member of the IIBA since June of 2012 and recently received his CBAP and has a Professional Scrum Master Certification from

As VP of Member Services, Alec is continuing the great work done in the past and looking for new opportunities for the Chapter to provide additional offerings to the membership. Alec understands the importance of delivering value to the local members. He actively elicits requirements and ideas from the members, the Board, and other Chapter Boards to strengthen the Member Services portfolio.


VP Professional Certification


Gaël Mombio, CBAP, has more than five years' experience in the manufacturing industry. 

Currently employed by the City of Gatineau, Gaël holds the position of Information Systems Consultant. He is responsible for analyzing the organization's needs, proposing the technological solutions, and implementation process once the proposed solution is accepted.

Being CBAP-certified, Gaël acquired a considerable amount of experience in the preparation and studying process that will be useful to share with future candidates.

 Gaël's goals and objectives are: 

  • Increase the awareness of the IIBA certifications and communicate the key advantages for achieving them
  • Relate the BABOK concepts to real world examples by inviting professional BAs to the study group
