We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Adina Badescu, Business Analyst at Desjardins, for her exceptional presentation, "The Agile Business Analyst: A Catalyst of Value in a Changing World." Her talk was greatly appreciated by our community.

Her expertise in agile methodologies and her ability to connect them to organizational transformation added significant value. Attendees particularly enjoyed the practical examples and valuable lessons she shared. Her contribution enriched the knowledge of everyone in attendance.

During her presentation, Adina Badescu skillfully bridged the gap between the theory and practice of agility. She reviewed the core principles of the Agile Manifesto and masterfully debunked common myths, especially the notion that the business analyst role has become obsolete. Adina demonstrated that BAs are more essential than ever in agile teams, serving as a translator between business and tech.

Adina clarified that while Agile values "working software over comprehensive documentation," this doesn't mean "no documentation". Instead, Agile values "just enough" documentation, avoiding pointless paperwork while still creating useful tools. This nuanced perspective was incredibly helpful.

She highlighted the pivotal role of a business analyst in facilitating collaboration and ensuring that the work being done provides true business value. Adina also shared essential tools and techniques for succeeding in an agile environment, such as User Story Mapping and Acceptance Criteria.

With her extensive background as a business analyst at Desjardins and a pension analyst at Standard Life/Manulife, coupled with her Master of Business Administration, Adina enriched the conversation with practical expertise. We thank her again for sharing her time and passion with our community.
