In her latest message, Chapter President Helen Racette reflects on the momentum building across our chapter—from the upcoming BA Blitz to our next Book Club. She also encourages members to take a few minutes to complete the chapter survey. Your feedback helps shape events and initiatives that support your growth and expand your professional network.
Hi everyone.
Last month I opened the newsletter with the sad news that we had to postpone our BA Blitz due to weather. Now that May has arrived, along with Ottawa Senator Playoff hockey games, we can look forward to BA Blitz on May 24th. Given the new date, some people will not be able to join us, which means we have a few extra spots that have opened up. I hope you will consider joining this signature event and give back to the local community while honing your BA skills and growing your network of contacts.
BA Book Club had a glitch this past month, so we’ll be using “Start with Why” by Simon Sinek for our May book club selection. As usual, we will be meeting the 4th Thursday of May to have a chat. I hope you will sign up and join in on this free fun conversation.
To close for this month, I want to express my curiosity and your help in answering that feeling. We are a chapter over 300 strong, but we certainly don’t see 300 at our events. We prepared a survey and I encourage you to take the time to answer it. The results of the survey will help inform our planning for the next one to three years. YOU are our #1 stakeholder. We want to help you realize the value of an IIBA membership and grow your Business Analysis Network especially with your involvement in this chapter in particular. I hope you will share your insights with us.
Helen
