Chapter President Helen Racette shares exciting updates on our community’s momentum, from the success of our first in-person workshop with Emily Tom and Nancy Beatson to the engaging BA Book Club discussion on Think Again. She highlights the upcoming BA Blitz Hackathon, an in-person event where BAs of all levels will collaborate to support a local non-profit.
Hi everyone.
This past Saturday, I was a volunteer at our first In-Person Workshop since the COVID-19 pandemic. What an amazing session! Emily Tom and Nancy Beatson took us for a drive through a number of Business Analysis techniques and it was so wonderful to have conversations with people actually in the same room. I would like to think that everyone had as much fun as I did too.
We also had our second BA Book Club and had a wonderful conversation over our February selection, “Think Again”. I am looking forward to reading our March selection, “surrounded by idiots”. We will be meeting the last week of March to have a chat and you are all welcome to join in this free fun conversation.
Finally, the team has worked very hard to pull together the signature event this season, our Business Analysis Hackathon, known as BA Blitz! This is an in-person, hands-on business analysis experience for BA’s of all levels, and benefitting a local Ottawa area not-for-profit. This should be a fantastic opportunity and I encourage you to consider being part of this opportunity.
