Many AI pilots stall before delivering results—not because of technology, but because of leadership, design, and execution discipline. Join Patrick van Abbema to explore what each pillar demands in practice and where business analysis skills carry the most weight.

Lead, Design, Implement: What It Takes to Deliver AI With Confidence

Many organizations have AI pilots. Fewer have AI that is governed, adopted, and producing measurable results. The gap is rarely the technology. It is the leadership, design and implementation discipline around it, which is ground business analysts already work on.

In this session, Patrick van Abbema, Founder and CEO of AltNexus AI Core and faculty at Carleton's Sprott School of Business, sets out what each of the three takes in practice:

  • Lead: who is accountable, and which decisions and guardrails must be settled before anything is built.
  • Design: how to frame the business problem, requirements, data and risk so a use case is worth building.
  • Implement: how to move from pilot to adopted practice with outcomes you can measure.

Learning Objectives

In this session you will leave with a clear view of where business analysis skills carry the most weight in AI work, and a short set of questions to ask of any AI initiative.
