Everyone Did Their Job... So, Why Did It Still Fail?
Make It Make SENSE!

Session Overview and Relevance

In many organizations, Business Analysts, Project Managers, and Change Managers each perform their roles effectively, requirements are gathered, plans are executed, and solutions are delivered. Yet despite this, initiatives still fail to achieve meaningful outcomes.

This workshop challenges the traditional, siloed view of BA, PM, and CM by exploring the gap between work and results. Participants will be introduced to a practical, real-world model, the S.E.N.S.E. Model™ (Sense, Enable, Navigate, Shift, Evaluate), that reframes these disciplines as an interconnected system rather than separate roles.

Grounded in real operational environments (from structured/governance-heavy to fast-moving teams), this session helps junior analysts understand not just what each role does, but how work actually flows and breaks down in practice.

This is especially relevant for early-career professionals who are often trained in theory but must quickly operate in complex, ambiguous environments where alignment, coordination, and adoption are rarely clean or clearly owned.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the distinct and interconnected roles of Business Analysis, Project Management, and Change Management
  • Identify common failure points between these disciplines in real-world environments
  • Apply the S.E.N.S.E. Model™ to analyze and diagnose project challenges
  • Recognize how different environments (structured, hybrid, agile) influence the role and effectiveness of BA, PM, and CM
  • Adopt a systems-thinking mindset to move beyond role-based thinking and contribute more effectively to outcomes

Target Audience

  • Junior Analysts (Business Analysts, Project Analysts, or similar roles)
  • Early-career Project Coordinators / Junior Project Managers
  • Emerging Change Management practitioners
  • Professionals transitioning into BA, PM, or CM roles

No prior deep experience in all three disciplines is required; this session is designed to build foundational understanding while accelerating practical awareness.

Expected Outcomes / Takeaways

Participants will leave with:
  • A clear mental model (S.E.N.S.E.) to understand how workflows across BA, PM, and CM
  • The ability to diagnose common breakdowns in projects and initiatives
  • A stronger appreciation for how the environment impacts delivery and outcomes
  • Practical ways to contribute beyond their defined role, even as junior team members
  • Increased confidence in navigating real-world project complexity

This session moves beyond theory to give you a practical, experience-driven view of how work actually happens, equipping you to bridge the gap between delivery and real outcomes.
