Skills Workshop | Requirements Analysis & Design Definition: The Journey from Requirements Elicited from Stakeholders to Solutions They Need
Event Description:
Requirements are central to the business analyst’s job. The business analyst must iteratively and repetitively analyze requirements in order to define designs that will result in viable solutions. Performing these tasks in a thorough manner is essential to ensuring that the solution delivers value for the right requirements. This full-day workshop will cover Requirements Traceability and the BA tasks involved in the Requirements Analysis and Design Definition knowledge area of BABOK(R) v3. By attending this workshop you will:
- Learn the importance of requirements traceability and how to manage traceability
- Work with a variety of elicited requirements (the good, the bad, and the ugly)
- Learn how to identify design options that satisfy requirements.
- Learn how to assess the value of solutions and make recommendations.

Cost: $83 for IIBA members | $110 for non-members
PDs and CDUs: 7 CDUs -The event is recognized for Professional Development hours (PD Hours) for the certification application, and Continuing Development Units (CDU) for recertification

About the Instructors:
Emily Tom, CBAP® is the current VP Certification of the IIBA Ottawa-Outaouais Chapter. She has over 10 years of experience in working with teams to elicit and communicate requirements.
Nancy Beatson, CBAP® is a Senior Business Analyst at CGI. She has extensive experience working with diverse teams to elicit requirements and align them to common business goals.
