Skills Workshop | User Stories: An Agile Introduction
In an agile world, business analysts typically help flush out requirements for the development teams. Often, these requirements takes the form of either product backlog items or user stories.
This hands-on workshop will explore how business analysts typically interact with product backlog items and how to create user stories that deliver business value to their clients.
Learning objectives:
- What is a product backlog and how is it used by development teams?
- What is iterative and incremental delivery?
- How business analysts can work with their teams to build an initial product backlog?
- How business analysts can work with their teams to break down product backlog items?
- What are user stories and how much documentation is enough?
Pre-requisites:
- Participants must be familiar with the Agile Manifesto (http://agilemanifesto.org/)
- Participants must be familiar with the Scrum Guide (http://www.scrumguides.org/)
When: January 7th, 2017 - 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
*Light breakfast, coffee/tea, Lunch and snacks will be provided. Attendees with special meal needs (eg. vegetarian only, gluten free, etc.), email us 3 days prior to the workshop.

CDUs: 7 CDUs -The event is recognized for Professional Development hours (PD Hours) for the certification application, and Continuing Development Units (CDU) for recertification.
