As Chapter President and a long-time member of the IIBA Ottawa-Outaouais Chapter, I can't express how pleased I am that our Chapter was a finalist for the IIBA Marketing Excellence Award and the Chapter Outreach Award this year.

What is certain is that the Chapter could never have competed for these awards were it not for the support we get from our members, sponsors, volunteers and Board members.

I'm also very happy that our own Marie Halsey was selected as a finalist for the Americas Eastern Region Volunteer Award. For a number of years now, Marie has quietly and competently been managing the Chapter meeting registrations and welcoming members to meetings with her lovely smile. Congratulations, Marie!

On behalf of myself and the other Board members, we look forward to continuing to deliver value to our Ottawa-Outaouais friends and colleagues in the New Year.
