Thank you, and have a great summer!

Thank you, and have a great summer!

The 2018-19 Board of Directors of the IIBA Ottawa-Outaouais Chapter would like to thank you for a great year!

We've held:

  • 4 skills-building full day workshops to hone in on BA skills from building a business model canvas to achieving best outcomes through leadership and peruastion.
  • 10 monthly meetings with great speakers covering timely topics, such as AI, change management, and agile, and lots of opportunity to network.
  • 1 speed recruiting event, connecting job seekers with employers in a structured but fun environment.
  • 10 certification study groups attended by a record number of future certificate holders!

We've started a new initiative:

  • BA Trailblazer is a program intended to crowd-source the business analysis thought leadership in our region.

Thanks again for your participation, we couldn't have done it without you!

Summer is a "quiet time" at the IIBA O-O Chapter, but we are not resting! We take this opportunity to prepare the upcoming year's programming.

We're very excited to share a sneak peek:

  • Mark your calendars! We will be holding our first full-day professional development conference in Ottawa on April 24, 2020 titled Capital BA Day – Business Analysis in the Digital Tomorrow. We're currently looking for speakers, so if you're an expert on a topic relevant to BAs, we want to hear from you. For more information, please visit Capital BA Day – Call for Speakers today!
  • Our first 2019-20 chapter meeting will be held on September 17 during which Peter Paul will lead an interactive session on agile tools and techniques. Registration will open soon.
  • We're also kicking off the study group on September 24th with key BA concepts!
  • And another BA Trailblazer session will be held on September 26 where our thought leaders will deep dive into AI. If you wish to participate or lead, visit BA Trailblazer.

We're looking forward to seeing you all in September!

Have a wonderful summer,
2019-20 Board of Directors
